I‘m excited to share about this product with you guys, because I know I am not alone in searching for solutions in between salon visits/dye jobs. Often times, I will have zero time to to do a touch up before an event, and I can’t tell you how much this drives me nuts, sometimes to the point that I am self-conscious about it.
I usually color my hair once or twice a month…but recently I’ve been contemplating changing up my hair color. This means growing out my current hair color, so now I have more grey!

luckily this new John Frieda Root Blur came up on my radar. Instantly erases roots and doesn’t wear off until you shampoo.

So speaking of last minute events and not having time. What happens when you want to get ready in a flash? Like Valentine’s Day?

Here’s a cute and quick little fix for date-night. With the help of the John Frieda Root Blur your roots won’t be as visible even when wearing your hair up in a flirty fifties pinup ponytail.

Step 1
curl hair

Step 2

Separate hair in two sections.

Step 3
Gather hair into a ponytail.

Step 4
Twirl front section of hair into a roll/swirl and secure with bobby pins.
And don’t worry if it’s not perfect, play around with it a little bit. 😉

Step five
Add ribbon for extra flair

I hope that gives you inspiration for date-night or Valentine’s Day. 😉

And I know that the John Frieda Root Blur will make your life easier between salon visits.
You can pick up the John Frieda Root Blur™ Colour Blending Concealer Chestnut to Espresso For Medium to Dark Brunette like I did if you’re a brunette with medium to dark hair. But have no fear if you hair is blonde or medium brown, there are options!

  • Root Blur™ Colour Blending Concealer Platinum to Champagne For Light to Medium Blonde
  • Root Blur™ Colour Blending Concealer Honey to Caramel For Medium to Dark Blonde

  • Root Blur™ Colour Blending Concealer Chestnut to Espresso For Medium to Dark Brunette

You can easily spot the John Frieda Root Blur in the haircare aisle at Target! It’s available 12/27 -3/5.
And it’s pretty cool because if you purchase 3 John Frieda products, you’ll earn a $5 gift card. And who doesn’t want a $5 gift card to Target? 😉

Please let me know which color you end up picking up. I think you’ll love that each John Frieda Root Blur kit includes two shades that are so easily customizable to your own hair color, and appreciate the cute little compact that you can toss into your makeup bag. I found it to be a piece of cake and QUICK to work with. Time is everything! Right?!

Also, what do ya’ll think should I do more of these tutorials?

I love this tutorial – I wouldn't think it would be so easy. Or at least you make it look easy! I also love that the Root Blur product stops those roots from taking away from the look. #client

I should buy some Root Blur. It sounds just what I need because sometimes I go longer than I should between dye jobs & I need to cover up some grays!

On I need to try this, I have been getting gray hair just along my hair line. I don't want to dye my hair just to cover up those little baby gray hairs that seem to stick out. Going to try this!!

🙂 Yeah, it's cool for a temporary solution. Perfect if you don't want to commit to traditional haircoloring/dying. 🙂
