Haven’t done a beauty gift guide in awhile. But I thought hey, there’s a lot of people out there that are looking for different things. Scents, skincare, makeup, and the like. So I thought I’d share some of things that have been on my radar lately, favorite things I’ve discovered this year, you know maybe it will help someone!
Shu Uemura x Super Mario Bros. Collection – $39 -$69
Haircare products courtesy of Shu Uemura
What an unexpected and delightful collaboration from Shu Uemura!
Shu Uemura x Super Mario Bros. is a collection of luxury haircare products and beauty products with nostalgic packaging. The haircare collection is cleansing oil shampoo, cleansing oil shsampoo, a nourishing protective oil, and workable hair cream. The beauty collection includes makeup brushes, eyelash curlers, makeup boxes, lipsticks and more…but they are very close to selling out…don’t say I didn’t warn you.
The acai perfume at Urban Outfitters – $18
So it’s actually called the Gourmand EDP fragrance and it comes in several scents like Macaron Rose, Matcha, Chai Epice, and more. But obviously the Acai Bae is the best one! How would I describe this scent? Yummy, sweet, and subtle. It’s a great option when you can’t splurge on Lolita Lempicka, YSL, Flowerbomb, etc. You get the picture. 😉 Pick it up at Urban Outfitters.
Surya Brasil vegan nail polish – $12
(nailpolishes courtesy of Surya Brasil)
Surya Brasil is a Brazilian company that creates all of their products by sourcing ingredients from the Amazon Rainforest and natural botanicals around the world. Surya Brasil Exotic Animals non-toxic nail polish collection features 16 vibrant colors. All nail polishes are cruelty-free and vegan! And isn’t the packaging cute? You can find them at suryabrasilproducts.com, and I believe Whole Foods carries their line as well.
POPWHITE – $24-$39
products courtesy of POPWHITE
So you may have heard about the teeth whitening system POPWHITE. It’s been featured in Cosmo, Teen Vogue, R29, and floating around on blogs and youtube. It is infused with coconut oil and xylitol – It uses a color correcting technology – which to put it simply means that the products are purple and cancel out the yellow (in your teeth). Pretty cool. They say that when you use both the whitening primer (toothpaste) and the whitening toner (oral rinse) together twice a day, you should see your teeth whitened by four shades.
Here’s my little two cents – It doesn’t feel filmy like I would imagine gargling with coconut oil would be, but again it’s not just coconut oil. The taste is pleasant and not overwhelming. The toothpaste doesn’t feel abrasive, it’s smooth and left my teeth feeling clean. I do notice a difference in my teeth being shades whiter…I should have documented it. doh! Because it really does work and want you guys to know it’s not one of those gimicky things.
LUSH soaps and oils – $5-$19
I think whatever you pick up from Lush will be a hit. I know they’re mostly known for their bathbombs, which are wonderful. But my votes are for:
Outback Mate – the eucalyptus soap. It also has lemongrass and peppermint. so uplifting/refreshing. and great if you’ve got a cold.
You’ve been mangoed – the mango oil. lemon and lime oils. organic shea butter. soooo moisturizing and smells like mango. perfect for a when you’re feeling like a fancy hot bath.
Mario Badescu – $7 – $12
Facial Spray courtesy of Mario Badescu
If you thought you couldn’t love Mario Badescu anymore because you’re obsessed with the Rose Water spray…think again. The Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea is lovely too. This revitalizing and cooling mist is a pick me up to dull and tired skin. It refreshes your makeup when it needs a little boost…You can order it through MarioBadescu.com or find it at Nordstrom, and Ulta.
fyi…there’s a new lavender spray that looks inviting as well.

Kiehl’s Sunflower Color Preserving Deep Recovery Pak – $25
Kiehl’s is one of my favorite brands. And this 8 oz. jar of nourishment for your hair is a yes in my book. Packed with vitamins, UV protection, and sunflower and apricot oils. Kiehl’s Sunflower Color Preserving Deep Recovery Pak is made for color treated hair. Also worth mentioning is that it’s silicone free and paraben free – in case that is something that is important to you. You’ll love that Kiehl’s has a recyling program, so save your containers to earn products 🙂

Hairdo extensions courtesy of Hairdo.
The Hairdo Long Wave Pony is a great way to add volume and lenght to hair. It’s available at Ulta.com in several colors and is 23″ long. It’s synthetic hair, but you can use heat – so yeah, you can use your curling iron. Diggin’ it.

DNA Skin Institute Anti-Aging Eye Repair Creme – call for price
This brand is new to me but it seems to have quite the following. Happened upon DNA Skin Institute while at my microneedling appointment. And since I had just run out of my eye creams…I decided to go for their eyecream. DNA Skin Institute Anti-Aging Eye Repair Creme is 100 percent natural. Chemical and preservative free. Aids in diminishing signs of aging, dark circles, and puffiness. Safe to use as a lip treatment as well. Also a little goes a long way.

Don’t you feel like you know at least one person that is obsessed with Sephora? And it can be a bit overwhelming in there if you don’t know what you’re going for. Thank goodness for gift cards. So the classic gift cards you can buy in denominations of $10-$250…but the e-gift cards you can purchase from $10 and all the way up to $500. whoa. come to mama.
