I usually use witch hazel as a toner and I'm happy with it...but, I am always exploring toners...to give me something a little extra...because my skin is so oily.
I've used KORRES products and they haven't disappointed me yet...so in my search for a toner I stumbled upon their Pomegranate Tonic Lotion...targeted towards those with oily or combination skin.
Here's what it promises:
"Korres Pomegranate regulating lotion tones, cleanses gently and removes excess oil imparting a smoother and more matte finish to the skin."
Why it's good for you:
It's free of parabens, wheat, silicone, sulfates, mineral oil, and nuts.
Contains pomegranate extract, witch hazel, and it's rich in Vitamins A, C, and E.
Here is my experience:
At the beginning of August the weather wasn't too crazy here in Los Angeles, maybe a couple of really hot days...but nothing too extreme...this is when I began to use the Korres Pomegranate toner. So on day one of testing this baby out - I cleansed my face per usual and proceeded to squeeze some toner onto a cotton pad and dab and gently swipe onto my skin. Immediately - and I mean immediately I fell in love. It made my skin feel tighter and sucked the oil away...thus making for a younger and more matte appearance. Happy camper. Then I applied my moisturizer...and normally when it's time for me to apply my moisturizer, I almost don't want to...because my skin still feels oily....but with this toner, my moisturizer application seemed to go smoother. :)
I did this for about 3 weeks - twice a day...happy!
At the end of August, I traveled to Phoenix and stayed there for about 2 weeks...Phoenix is usually dry...but the days were humid and I broke out...even my happy little toner didn't seem to stand the humidity. :(
Whatever. Now back in California and (the crazy heatwave that I seemed to have missed is gone) and the toner is clearing up my skin again. :)
You can find Korres Pomegranate Toner at Sephora for $20. I think it's worth it.
