depotting

welp back from my road trip and also my crazy spasms in my neck and head. that was crazy...and now playing catch up with blogging and editing and this and that....
The other night I was reorganizing my makeup kit and cleaning out stuff...and remembered I needed to depot some eyeshadows and place them into a pretty palette. :) And since I haven't done an actual beauty post in awhile...I thought this would be perfect.

sooooo, anywho. Here is what I did.

gathered up a few things:
eyeshadows (M.A.C.)
parchment paper (you could also use wax)
paring knife
scissors
flat iron
makeup palette (M.A.C.)

then I popped out the pans from the containers. I did this by prying them open by a little groove in the front where it snaps shut...I used a knife but you can sometimes get it done by using your fingernail.

then turned on my flat iron...cut a small piece of parchment paper and placed it on the flat iron...and placed two pans at a time for about 10-15 seconds

and I forgot to take a picture of the next step...oops.
well, I removed the pans from the heat with the paper. and you have to be careful because the plastic is hot! soooooo, I turned one over and poked/pushed gently through the plastic-center until the metal pan popped out.
I was careful when picking up the metal pan because it was super hot and sticky (melted glue).
I let it cool a bit and then placed it carefully in the palette...and  :)

This actually took awhile for me since I filled up two palettes. :)
check it out. :) not bad for my first try...and now they look purdyyyyyy. ♥

so there ya go. :) you can try it with different brands...
and the Z palette is awesome if you have several eyeshadows of different shapes and sizes. :)

xoxo
